Summary:
The City of West Haven, CT has adopted InTouch™ from MMI because of its unique position in the municipal market. According to Alan Olenick, IT Manager, when the city began looking at customer relationship management software there were three considerations - price, understanding how municipal government works and ease of use.
"InTouch™ has met this criteria and far exceeded our expectations," Olenick said. "The install was flawless and software is easy to use. InTouch™ knows the layers of bureaucracy local government can create and cuts right through it."
Olenick says the bottom line is that hopefully less people will have to deal with a phone call because the answers will be right at their fingertips.
"We are a typical municipality," Olenick said. "We get right on a person's issue but we tend not to follow up and let them know how what stage things are at or why a problem may not be addressed as fast as they like."
West Haven is an urban shoreline community consisting of 10.6 square miles.
"We have many of the same issues that a larger community likeNew Haven or Bridgeport has in a smaller area," Olenick said. "We are a densely populated community sandwiched between two large urban centers. We needed a good technology solution - when adding staff and other resources was out of the question."
